Britt is a neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) and international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) with a PhD specializing in infant feeding difficulties. Britt has published over 80 articles on feeding and gastrointestinal symptoms in infants and young children, has developed assessment tools for feeding and gastrointestinal symptoms, and has done research on flow rates from bottle nipples. She has worked with infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) as well as in her outpatient clinic, where she currently cares for infants and their families who are having difficulty with breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, gastrointestinal symptoms, or growth. She is also a mom of 3, including a set of twins who were born preterm and a full-term baby who refused all bottles.
